Testing Rocket fuel
We created two version of rocket fuel. One of the fuels we made was black powder(low-grade). We combined sulfur, potassium nitrate, and carbon to create black powder. The version of powder we made had a decent amount of force once it ignited, but the time it took to ignite the powder was very long in comparison to the time it burned. The other fuel we made as we call it was Rocket Candy. Rocket Candy is made up of potassium nitrate and sugar. The mixture required a 3:2 ratio. Once you had your measurements you must melt them together. We tested the variable that the longer you cooked would it make it better. What we found was that the longer you cooked the faster the ignition process was. Our Rocket Candy had a good deal of force and a decent ignition time. Though we didn't measure the cooking time so some of our information is invalid. Below is our notes that we took whle were doing the experiment.
